Sandra Lea-Wood

Sandra manages the CHIP Centre in Geelong which supports children with high intellectual potential, their parents and schools through identification and counselling. Her educational journey began teaching on an Indigenous Community in East Arnhem Land and later teaching Special Needs Students in England where she developed an interest in children with neurodivergence and special learning needs. She has lived in Ocean Grove for over 40 years and her son was a patrolling member of Ocean Grove Surf Life Saving Club.  Sandra was also a LifeSaver in another life. Her awareness of Ocean Mind came about when her granddaughter, who has Autism, was involved in a Six Week Swell Program last year. Madeleine loved it so much and flourished and so Sandra been an enthusiastic devotee of OM ever since.
